Fans of 80s boybands and romance.

An '80s hasbeen has to write a song for a pop sensation.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Date night, girls night, right now...

Where does it take place?
New York.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I originally saw it in theaters because it's exactly my type of movie and it was date night.

How did I like this?
I adore this movie. I immediately bought the soundtrack. It's just so freaking adorable and the songs are catchy.

It did take a bit to be able to see Hugh and Drew as a romantic pairing though. It seems odd at first, but by the end it works.

Who would I recommend this to?
Everyone who likes musicals, even just a little bit.

What is this about?
Overcoming prejudice through dance!

When would be a good time to watch this?
All the time.

Where does it take place?
Baltimore. There's a whole song about it.

Why did I decide to watch this?
When it first came out because it was a musical. Now because it's one of the best musicals.

How did I like this?
I am obsessed with this movie. From the opening song to the closing song, everything is A+++.

There's an excellent plot and subplots and romances(s) and singing and dancing and Zac Efron. And I need that shower curtain dress Amanda Bynes is wearing at the end. I'm pretty sure this movie and that dress kicked off my obsession with vintage and retro fashion.

Reign - Season 4 (2017)

Title: Reign - Season 4
Rating: TV-14
Run Time: 42 minutes
Release Date: February 10, 2017
Genre(s): Drama, Romance, Historical
Production Co.:  CBS Television Studios
Starring: Adelaide Kane, Megan Follows, Torrance Coombs

Who would I recommend this to?
People who like their historical dramas to be historically inaccurate but very dramatic. Gossip Girl fans.

What is this about?
Mary Queen of Scots versus Queen Elizabeth of England, and random other plots.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Now, if you haven't seen it before. Lockdown would have been a good time too.

Where does it take place?
France and England and finally Scotland.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I watched it when it originally aired because the dresses. And it looked like historical Gossip Girl.

How did I like this?
It started out much better than Season 3, but it did feel like they ran out of new conflicts since they keep bringing in new characters to fill in the holes. Characters that I have no reason to care about because it's already the end. Like, am I suppose to want Darnley to be with Mary? Or do I want him to have his true love? Do I care? No, because who is he?! By the end I was just irritated with the back and forth. Off with his head! Problem solved.

Narcisse continues to be the most interesting character, and I'm surprised he lasted this long. That man can get out of anything. And with Catherine at his side, he's unstoppable. I was still hoping for them to kill off everyone and rule all three countries themselves. Maybe thrown in Spain for fun as well.

The final two episodes did ramp up the drama and the tension again, but....meh.

France and England.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I watched it when it originally aired because the dresses. And it looked like historical Gossip Girl.

How did I like this?
I had originally stopped watching at some point during this season. It wasn't the show necessarily; I just lost interest in watching TV, period. But...this season had the weakest start. Just put Catherine and Narcisse on the throne! That is a power couple right there! And the only characters I actually care about. Villains, of course.

The highlight of this season was the sex horse gone wrong. Those episodes were so ridiculous and reminded me why I loved the show so much at the beginning. Unfortunately, it all goes downhill from there. I literally do not care about Bash. I literally do not care about Elizabeth. I barely care about Mary. Just give me more Catherine, Narcisse, Claude, and bring back Kenna!

Genre(s): Drama, Romance, Historical
Production Co.:  CBS Television Studios
Starring: Adelaide Kane, Megan Follows, Torrance Coombs

Who would I recommend this to?
People who like their historical dramas to be historically inaccurate but very dramatic. Gossip Girl fans.

What is this about?
Mary Queen of Scots' new marriage to King Francis and other political intrigue.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Now, if you haven't seen it before. Lockdown would have been a good time too.

Where does it take place?
France.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I watched it when it originally aired because the dresses. And it looked like historical Gossip Girl.

How did I like this?
I remembered exactly nothing from this season at all. It's a lot of politics, procreation, and the return of the paranormal. I do wish the paranormal had been stronger. It's a fun twist for this already dramatized account of events.

I do miss King Henry though. Bash has made Kenna boringly domestic and I was so sick of him.

The focus has moved away from Mary and Francis a bit, but not all of the characters are that compelling. I do love Narcise and Claude though.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I watched it when it originally aired because the dresses. And it looked like historical Gossip Girl.

How did I like this?
I was so addicted to this when it was first on. It was so dramatic and over-the-top and OMG the costuming! The outfits are soooo inaccurate, but I loved how they dressed up stuff from the mall.

Watching it now, I had forgotten nearly everything so I was immediately hooked back in! I'm still 100% here for Kenna and King Henry. At least until...ya know.

Um..whenever. It's not really necessary but if you really want to.

Where does it take place?
The Caribbean.

Why did I decide to watch this?
Because it's a sequel to one of my favorite movies.

How did I like this?
I like this better than On Stranger Tides, but it's definitely a weird movie. The whole breaking all of the curses plot was interesting, but also...what happens next? Can new curses come about? Are they now not breakable?! What is this movie!

It is the only one that made me ugly cry.

Because it's a sequel to one of my favorite movies.

How did I like this?
It's fine. I do like it, but wow, it's bad. So bad it's good. It kind of misses the mark a bit. I definitely appreciated that they carried on with the fountain of youth idea introduced at the end of the previous movie. I just wish...it had been better. The religious aspect kind of ruined it.
