Because I like the first one, and heard amazing things.

How did I like this?
What was that animation style?! OMG! It's so good! It's like a 3D storybook! The story is really good too. Totally fitting for Puss to want to avoid Death at all costs. It made me cry multiple times.

All the time.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I grabbed the DVD at Costco when it came out and watched it everyday while we didn't have cable.

How did I like this?
Obviously, I am obsessed with this movie. The music is A+, the story is engaging, it's funny, and sad, and I cannot stop! El Tango de Roxanne is the bestest.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

Title: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Rating: PG-13
Run Time: 2 hours 4 minutes
Release Date: February 17, 2023
Genre(s): Action, Sci-Fi
Production Co.: Marvel Studios
Director: Peyton Reed
Starring: Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lillly, Michelle Pfeiffer

Who would I recommend this to?
Fans of the other two.

What is this about?
Michelle Pfeiffer being hot...and getting sucked into the quantum realm to fight a war.

When would be a good time to watch this?
After the other two.

Where does it take place?
The quantum realm.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I'm trying to keep up with the Marvel movies.

How did I like this?
Definitely one of the better Marvel movies, since it doesn't feel like a Marvel movie. More like a high budget SyFy Channel movie. It was fun and kept my attention the whole time. Although I'm unsure if I was suppose to take the Ultimate Weapon seriously or not, because he was very '90s Power Rangers.

And are you trying to tell me that The Conqueror was able to use all of his tech knowledge to build all that, but he needed Ant-Man to solve his main problem? I had trouble believing that.

On your next movie night.

New York.

Why did I decide to watch this?
It's finally on Disney+.

How did I like this?
Easily the best of the Marvel movies! It was so fun! And I honestly did not even think about the twist! What?!

But...why was Zendaya in this? I like her in general, but this role? Just...why? I mean, I guess they cleared it up at the end, but she still makes no sense.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Anytime.

Where does it take place?
The workroom and main stage.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I've never seen it!

How did I like this?

Raven totally won. There...I said it. I can understand Chad winning, and I already knew that going in, but still. I fell in love with Raven this season. But I'm so glad they never did this competing in pairs thing ever again. I know it was to fit all those queens into six episodes, but it wasn't a fair competition.

The King's Daughter (2022)

Title: The King's Daughter
Rating: PG
Run Time: 1 hour 38 minutes
Release Date: January 21, 2022
Genre(s): Fantasy, Romance, Drama
Production Co.: Lightstream Pictures Australia
Director: Sean MacNamara
Starring:  Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, William Hurt

Who would I recommend this to?
Whoever needs brain candy for 98 minutes.

What is this about?
King Louis XIV wants to use a mermaid to become immortal, but his estranged daughter befriends her.

When would be a good time to watch this?
When you have nothing better to do.

Where does it take place?
Versailles.

Why did I decide to watch this?
My mom told me to.

How did I like this?
It was fine. The second half was waaay better than the first. The beginning was framed super awkwardly. Like, Louis' actions toward Marie had a romantic edge to them which I don't think was intentional, but it was very weird. I mean, if this was suppose to be some taboo movie, then fine, but it's not. But after he confesses to being her father, things were more normal and kinda fun.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)

Title: The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Rating: PG
Run Time: 1 hour 32 minutes
Release Date: April 5, 2023
Genre(s): Animation, Fantasy, Adventure
Production Co.: Illumination, Universal Pictures, Nintendo
Director: Aaron Horvath, Michael Jelenic, Pierre Leduc

Who would I recommend this to?
Nintendo fans.

What is this about?
Bowser's proposal to Peach goes terribly wrong.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Immediately.

Where does it take place?
Brooklyn and the Mushroom Kingdom.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I've been a Mario fan since forever. Peach and Bowser forever!!!

How did I like this?
It's so fun! It felt exactly like what a Mario movie should be like. Although it did really feel like a special episode of Bridezillas, where the groom is out of control. I am an unapologetic Bowser-Peach shipper, so I was loving it.

I did have two annoyances though. One: shouldn't the blue shell have hit Peach? Two: The Donkey Kong games have the BEST soundtracks, so why replace the music?!

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story - Season 1 (2023)

Title: Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
Rating: TV-MA
Run Time: 1 hour
Release Date: May 4, 2023
Genre(s): Historical, Romance, Drama, Series
Production Co.: Shondaland
Director: Tom Verica
Starring: India Amarteifio, Adjoa Andoh, Michelle Fairley

Who would I recommend this to?
Anyone who enjoys period dramas with a little extra.

What is this about?
How Queen Charlotte became Queen Charlotte.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Now.

Where does it take place?
London, England.

Why did I decide to watch this?
Because I loved Bridgerton.

How did I like this?

It gave me emotions! I knew it would, because that one season in Bridgerton got me too. This was super interesting and I might have liked it better than the main series? It was just so heartbreaking and heartwarming!

The racism plotline was...well it was there. I found it kind of odd how they danced around the issue ("You're the first of your kind!"), while vaguely pointing it out and centering it. I get this show is not about handling serious topics, but it was an important plot thread, so...it was odd.

Peter Pan & Wendy (2023)

Title: Peter Pan & Wendy
Rating: PG
Run Time: 1 hour 46 minutes
Release Date: April 28, 2023
Genre(s): Fantasy, Adventure
Production Co.: Walt Disney Pictures
Director: David Lowery
Starring:  Alexander Molony, Ever Anderson, Jude Law

Who would I recommend this to?
People who like to hate-watch things.

What is this about?
Nothing.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Never.

Where does it take place?
Neverland and London.

Why did I decide to watch this?
It's Disney and I always have hope.

How did I like this?
I did not. To be fair, I don't like Peter Pan in general (except Hook), and the original Disney animated film is one of my least favorites of all-time. But I had hope. False hope, but still hope. I liked Tinkerbell and Smee and that is it. Which is sad, because I've always loved Captain Hook, but I don't think Jude Law was given much to work with here. Just let him be evil! He doesn't need to be sympathetic! Just entertaining!

What is this about?
An outcast girl finally finds her people.

When would be a good time to watch this?
ASAP.

Where does it take place?
In and around Kitahoro High School.

Why did I decide to watch this?
It looked cute, and I'm always here for the weird girl!

How did I like this?
It was sooo cute! I do wish they leaned into Sawako's weirdness/creepiness more, but it really only shows up in the first and 6th or 7th episodes. I found myself really attached to all of these characters though.
