Degrassi - Season 11 (2011-2012)

This post is going to contain spoilers for this season, and possibly later seasons if I make references to future events.

Now or Never

 Boom Boom Pow (1-2)

Drew starts getting in trouble with Bianca, but then Bianca's dark past catches up with her. He believes she's been cheating, but really Anson threatened Drew's life is Bianca doesn't do as he says. But when Anson threatens Bianca, Drew tries to save her and fails. Bianca accidentally kills him in self defense and the two run from the scene. But it's not the cops who find them, it's gang leader Vince who now wants Drew to take Anson's place. I love Drianca, but this girl got him in all kinds of trouble! I know she's out of that life, or so she thought, but dang. Poor Drew is not cut out for this, but he does the smart thing (for once) and goes to the police.

Fiona's Spring Break plans are cancelled! Now what's she supposed to do? Holly J convinces her to join an art class with her, where she falls for the hot model. Fiona is so adorably unsure of how to navigate the world of F/F dating.

Sav and Alli are stuck home during break as well. He's still moping about Holly J and Alli encourages him to go out and get some sun! Where he meets Kiki Palmer, because why not? This little fling brings Sav out of his funk, but I could not care less about this plot thread. It was so random and weird. And sure.

LoveGame

Eli is out of the hospital and back at Degrassi. Clare is happy to see him, despite the break-up, but he barely acknowledges her. She immediately realizes that something is very off about him. Alli says she should be happy that he's not obsessed with her anymore, but this is different. This time it's Clare who has the emotional outburst. In public. New boy Jake kisses her to help her get closure, or because he's a teenage a boy. Either way, it gives Clare the push she needs to let Eli go, but when she approaches him, he admits that he's on medication.

Jenna is feeling lonely and stressed. Everyone is back to school except for her. KC basically pops in to say hi and bye, and drop off diapers. That's the extent of his parenting, leaving it all up to Jenna. But she's not going to take it anymore. She meets up with her friends at Above the Dot and hands the baby over to KC. He helped make the baby, so he can help take care of him. Too bad she can't relax and have fun. She talks to him about it, and KC tries harder by asking him mom to let Jenna and Tyson move in with them.

What's My Age Again?

Anya is about to turn 18, which means it's time for another date with Dr. Chris! Too bad he's not sticking around. He's taking the Darcy route and going to Kenya. Even worse, she doesn't get into college. But maybe that's a sign to go with him? He quickly rejects that plan. I hate seeing Any cry! She's my favorite! So she drowns her sorrows in Owen's mouth. That was inevitable.

We check in with Drew as he talks to a lawyer about the Anson and Vince situation. He wins his case, but Vince is back out and Drew is terrified.

KC and Jenna are not living together, but things don't seem to have changed. KC still wants to run out as soon as the baby is asleep, but Jenna convinces him to stay. Too bad he keeps making excuses to leave, like oops, no more diapers! But while watching the game at Little Miss Steaks, he fills out a job application. He can get out of the house, while still being responsible.

Wesley is on a mission to find Connor a girlfriend, but he really does not want one. He does not understand the social cues from them at all, and actually isn't interested. Then he steals Fiona's panties during Anya's birthday party.

Idioteque

Drew is hiding out at home, and Bianca has been sneaking in to see him. He's too distracted to pay attention in class, fearing that Vince is coming for him. He realizes that none of this would be happening if it weren't for Bianca, so he says he needs a break. Bianca is going to fix this and that's when she goes to find Vince. She gives him what he wants, but Drew still breaks things off.

Wesley is still trying to help Connor with girls, to no avail. Instead he goes with Connor to steal Miss Oh's panties. And the swim teams'...

Anya is hiding that she didn't get accepted into Toronto University and that she hooked up with Owen. He's been bragging online and the girls are disgusted, and the boys are curious. Who was the mysterious hook up. Then Anya replies to his POST instead of messaging him! Oops.

Cry Me a River (1-2)

Dave and Adam both auditioned for the school's radio and both of them want to do a "man show." Sav says they're both going on the air for the students to vote on who gets the job. Since this is a Dave plot, we already know he's going to do something awful. Yes, Adam accidentally pees on his shoes, but c'mon Dave! Don't be such a transphobic ass! It is impossible to ever be on Dave's side. He 100% believes that he didn't do anything wrong and is looking to retaliate. He just continues to make things worse.

Fiona has to take Grade 11 Drama to make up an arts credit, and it doesn't go well, when she gets rejected to join a group for the first assignment. She's feeling alone, and is dreading having to repeat her year without her friends. She starts hanging out with Charlie again, and then invites her to move in when her roommate kicks her out for not paying rent.

Clare is also trying to join a club, the school paper. So she asks the editor what she needs to do. Katie's assignment for her is to write about how to get over a breakup. Easy peasy. Of course, Clare does not follow instructions at all, goes above and beyond, and then back talks Katie. That is not how you get onto the school paper. But agreeing to cover the school play, written by Eli is. Katie is super intense.

Dirt Off Your Shoulder (1-2)

Eli still doesn't have a diagnosis, but his anti-anxiety medication seems to be keeping him level headed. Especially when it comes to Clare. But it's also stifling his creativity. Then after Imogen fakes tripping over a computer, so that he doesn't get in trouble for smashing it, Eli tries talking to her. She mentions his meds are messing with his head, and sooo...he goes off them. Then Imogen continues to "help" him get over Clare, by role playing with him so he can get the emotions out.

Riley is still trying to reach out to his mom after coming out to her, but she's cold. Until she says she wants him to meet with this girl about scholarships, but it's actually a date. Riley tells her everything, and she gives him some advice. Then Zane check's Riley's phone and assumes he's cheating!

KC started working and Jenna still isn't happy, because now she's home alone day and night. But they need they the money. But...Marisol.

Paper Planes (1-2)

Anya tries coke! And tells her parents that she didn't get in college. Mr.Simpson gives an application for a school that's taking late applications, and Owen encourages her to use mom's cancer as an excuse for being late. Then she starts making plans around Owen despite Holly J saying that girls like them don't do this! There's an Anya tug of war between the best friend and new boyfriend. Then blows her interview because she snorts for a confidence boost.

Charlie is settled into Fiona's condo and brought her cat. Fiona is giddy about it even though she appears to be allergic to the cat. But...it's not the cat, it's bedbugs. She assumes Charlie brought them, but after a quick call from her mom, she apologizes. This is a super low drama plot, especially for Fiona. UNTIL...Charlie wants to celebrate with champagne and Fiona must admit that she's an alcoholic. She almost takes a sip, but puts it down and calls her mom.

Connor says that he's done stealing underwear from the girls, but that's not exactly true. Now he's grabbing other articles of clothing in order to put together his outfit picking app. He gets caught and is suspended for his behavior. He's also been enrolled in a program to help him better process his emotions.

Should've Said No (1-2)

Alli is convinced that Clare likes Jake, and he certainly seems to like her. She doesn't want to jump into a relationship since her last one ended badly and her parents are now divorced. What's the point!? Except her mom is now dating, and leaving her home alone with Jake. The two make out, but Clare still isn't sold on the idea of getting a new relationship. Until she sees Eli and Imogen and then Katie starts asking about him. Then the two bond over their divorced parents starting to date, little do they know that they're dating each other!

Drew is finally back to school, but he and his mom are both nervous. He needs to do this though, but he quickly starts lashing out when people try to talk to him about it. He finally breaks down and talks to his mom. She wants to get him a therapist, but Drew wants to move. He is absolutely terrified of Vince finding him again.Drew's parents agree to move if that's what he really wants, but Adam is not having it! He's finally fitting in at school as himself and he doesn't think it's fair to have to leave. Luckily, Drew discovers sparring with Owen and Julian and it boosts his confidence.

As class reps, Alli and Dave are planning a movie night for the Grade 10s. They two restart their friendship, at the cost of Dave lying to Sadie about who he's with. Sadie is not THAT girl. She wouldn't disallow her boyfriend from having friends, but the girl does have feelings that need to be respected. However, Dave does still have feelings for Alli and isn't sure who to pick. Um, Sadie?! Alli don't want you! Or does she!? Really?!

U Don't Know (1-2)

Holly J finds out that her dialysis isn't working, so her doctor says she needs to do it every day and get ready for a transplant. Unfortunately, her parents aren't a match because...she's adopted! She heads online and is able to find her birth mother, Dawn. Holly J meets her and really relates to her, so she worries that asking for a kidney will scare her off. But when her doctor says that it takes around a year to find a donor on the transplant list, she's left with no other choice if she still wants to attend Yale in the fall. Dawn is a match, but she wants $20,000. That is insane to me! I totally get wanting to get compensated. Nothing wrong with that, but 20K seems excessive.

Adam and Dave interview Katie on their radio show, and Adam clearly has a crush. He signs up to do the prom fashion show and asks to be her partner. She seems to be interested, so Adam asks Marisol if she's ever talked about him. Marisol let's Adam know that Katie wouldn't be interested in more unless he was "physically different." Dave confirms that Adam's boobs are still noticeable despite the binding. Adam goes to his counselor to ask about surgery, but he admits that he's doing it for a girl, which is not an acceptable reason.

Imogen is coming onto Eli real strong. Intensely. She wants to audition for the lead in the play, she starts "studying" Clare. Creepily. At least Clare is open to helping her, as long as Imogen tries to make the character more sympathetic than Eli wrote her. After the landing the part, but not the guy, Imogen starts acting spiteful toward Clare and too clingy with Eli. This is Crellie 2.0.

Lose Yourself (1-2)

Jenna wants to come back to school, but they have no childcare for all day long, and KC won't stay home. She needs to find a way, but they simply cannot afford to hire a nanny. Thankfully, KC's mom has been working evenings, so she suggests Jenna go back to school part time and she'll watch Tyson. Things do not go how she expects though, when she starts leaking and has to leave her first class to pump. She's still feeling out of touch, but Sav asks her to help write some songs. Sshe gets so distracted that she lets the baby roll off the changing table. Resulting in a call to child services. She also finds out about KC and Marisol. Jenna has had enough and  hits him with her guitar. I can't even blame her. She asks about adoption during the child services visit. She does the right thing.

Eli asked Jake to help build sets for the play because, as they say, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." He admits to Imogen that he's not even remotely over Clare. Definitely Crellie 2.0. Clare is worried that Eli is trying to sabotage their relationship. She becomes very paranoid, especially when Eli announces that he made some changes to the play. It turns out that she had nothing to worry about. He really wasn't going to do anything to Jake, and he simply made Clara the hero instead of the villain.

Sav and Miss Oh! I've been waiting for this! I am a sucker for student-teacher romances in fiction. They bond over music, and we finally meet Mo, who is competing to write the music for the play. Sav gets the job, but then Mo blackmails him with the song he wrote about Miss Oh, so now they're collaborating, and Mo sends the song anything thinking that he's helping.

Mr. Brightside (1-2)

We're revisiting Drew sparring with the guys and Katie is curious about what he gets out of it. She's writing an article on violence and youth culture, but she's also interested in Drew. Too bad her article tips off Mr. Simpson who now won't let anyone in the gym unsupervised. Drew needs somewhere to go, so he asks to be the sports writer on the paper. Katie agrees to give him a shot. However, the guys still need a place to fight, so where do they go? Some back alley cage match, of course! Drew takes it too far, but Katie and Julian rescue him. She introduces him to Taekwondo.

Things are going surprisingly well with Alli and her parents. They even agree to let her go out after dinner! Well, they assume she's hanging out with Clare. Really, she has a date with Dave. Don't go down this dark path again, Alli! But she's not. She wants to introduce Dave to her parents, in hopes that they won't have to sneak around. She introduces them to...David. Dave doesn't like pretending to be someone he's not, so Alli talks to her parents. For real this time. And they listen. They actually like Dave!

Fiona offers Holly J the $20,000 to get her kidney as a "prom gift." They learn something interesting while Fiona is getting the check made out. It's illegal to pay for organs, even in this manner. Holly J lashes out a bit, but cools down and talks to Dawn. She wants a relationship with her. They start talking about graduation and prom, which is how Fiona winds up buying Dawn's vintage dress. For $20,000. It's true love! I love Fiona so much!

Extraordinary Machine (1-2)

Eli is continuing to stay off his meds and making random changes to the play. He even fires Jake from the play after writing him into the script. He sets up a meeting with Clare to discuss the new play for the school paper, but it's obvious that he sees this as a more than just an interview. Bullfrog needs to be checking under this boy's tongue. Imogen is all in there though, but for other reasons. Too bad it doesn't mean anything to Eli. It just cleared his head to come up with a plan to get Clare back, which involves pulling a Peter: planting drugs in Jake's locker. Imogen says she'll do it, but she puts it in Clare's locker. All Eli wants is his happily ever after with Clare, but that's not happening, as he expresses during the play.

Jenna and KC are meeting the family who want to adopt Ty. She's also packing to leave. KC doesn't approve though. He's been a crappy dad and boyfriend, but now that it's all being taken away, he can't take it. KC comes to his senses and calls the adoption agency to agree to the family.

Anya is still on coke and trying to figure out what to do after high school. Her mom is taking her to a career fair, so she invites Owen to come with her so she doesn't feel like the only person who doesn't know what to do with their life. That's when she finds out that Owen does have a plan. And after ruining a date with him by snorting coke AGAIN, she gets inspired to join the army. But she fails the drug test.

Drop it Like It's Hot (1-2)

Alli still hasn't told Dave that she'll be gone all summer at a science program. She invites him over and plans to tell him, but he assumes they're going to have sex and he brings condoms. I appreciate that Dave was prepared, but he shouldn't have assumed especially knowing Alli's history. Adam also realizes that Alli can count cards, so she starts a little gambling ring at school to earn money for a surprise for Dave. She caught the gambling bug and finds people to meet up with. Dangerous! Dave does the right thing for once and calls the cop when Alli invites him to a game. And that is how Alli meets his Dad. Good twist. Although I find it odd that she hadn't met him at school?

Bianca is still tangled up with Vince, and now he wants her to sell drugs to her classmates. She tries to get detention to avoid him, and she does with Imogen's help. Instead of selling the drugs, she steals cash from Imogen's wallet. A lesser crime to avoid a bigger one. She is in deep. I felt so bad for her during the entire episode. She needs to get out!

Wesley wants to learn how to drive to keep Hannah interested in him. He does lie and tells her that he already has his license and offers her a ride home in his uncle's car. He also agrees to drive her to a museum exhibit where they get pulled over by the police. And he drives right out of the show! I'll miss him.

Don't Panic (1-2)

Katie likes Drew, but Marisol does too and reminds Katie that she liked him first. Marisol, you do not have a chance! Let your best friend be happy! It's not Katie's fault, but Marisol takes it out on her by running against her for class president and tells her to end things with Drew. Needless to say, none of this goes well, and Marisol goes as far to expose Katie's deepest secret. And that is what ultimately comes between them. Katie struggles with bulimia, and now she nearly relapses because of the stress from the rumors. Marisol screwed up big time, but apologizes when she realizes what she's done. Go away, Marisol! Why does Degrassi suck at Black characters?!

Eli is in therapy and has been diagnosed as bipolar. Craig was diagnosed immediately, but it took Eli crashing his car on purposes, weeks on medications, and a public outburst. Anyway. Eli tries to apologize to Jake, but he's not having it. Then he sees him fighting with Clare and decides he'll help Jake get back on her good side.

Miss Oh is back on speaking terms with Sav, and maybe more? She plays a song for him that she wrote about her feelings for him. Kissing! I'm so glad that this plot didn't turn messy. Yes, they get caught. Kind of. Sav says that he made up their relationship to impress his friends.

Take a Bow (1-2)

Fiona runs into Charlie a few days before prom, and still doesn't have a date. She wants to go with Charlie, who agrees and Fiona also offers to take in her cat. Too bad Charlie has a girlfriend! This leads to a downward spiral for Fiona, who finds solace in the bottle. She's convinced that she's unlovable and alone. She lashes out at Holly J. Then she bumps into Charlie while buying a bottle of champagne. Charlie won't let her take it home and tells her exactly what she needs to hear. She fixes things with Holly J and Charlie and she checked herself back into rehab.

Anya gets her second chance at the army, but now she needs to up her physical fitness to make it through basic training. Owen agrees to help her even after she was awful to him during her cocaine days. But she goes from 0 to 15 chin-ups after one afternoon of training?! There was a workout montage, but this was the same day...Anyway. The two reconnect and Anya wants to go to prom with him instead of Riley. Who comes out to his mom again, and she finally listens.

Marisol encourages Katie to talk to Drew, since he's been avoiding her after she forgave Marisol for being such a biatch. Drew comes around and agrees to be her prom date. Marisol makes a comment about how this means Drew wants to have sex with her. Katie isn't ready, but she still asks Drew about STIs. That was her plan to delay the sex, thinking that he wouldn't agree, but he was super excited. Bad plan, but also...good plan? But honesty is the best policy. She admits that she's not ready to have sex, and Drew admits that he invited her over to meet his mom.

Dead and Gone (1-2)

Drew sees Bianca with Vince. Uh oh. Of course, he thinks the worst. Not even considering that she's protecting him. He corners her and gets her to admit the truth, which severely messes with his head. She needs help and he wants to. He talks to Katie about it, and she doesn't want him getting hurt or in trouble over this again. Drew has a white knight complex but he screws this up so badly. His heart is in the right place, but he knows better than to mess with Vince. Vince shows up to the prom and winds up shooting Adam. At least he finally gets arrested.

Clare and Jake are still sneaking around, and they want to go to prom. But before they can, their parents have an announcement. They're getting married! Clare uses this as an opportunity to tell them about her and Jake. Of course, Clare's mom says they need to breakup.

School is over, and Sav is no longer Miss Oh's student. He wants to take her out on a date, but their schedules just do not line up. Sad face. They do get one final moment, when Sav realizes that the school is going to be empty during prom.

Nowhere to Run (1-2)

Clare is dreading her mom's upcoming wedding to her ex's dad, and for them to move in. She takes out her frustrations on Alli, by saying her problems are nothing compared to hers. Now she's all alone after the wedding. Bianca calls looking for Drew, thinking Clare is with them at Jake's cabin, which she knew nothing about. Which is how she finds herself in a car with Bianca out to the woods. Broken down. Then walking.

Dave admits to cheating on Alli while she was away this summer. She runs away to the woods with Jake, Drew, Katie and Marisol. And kissing Jake, much to Clare's horror.

The Clue reference at the cabin was epic. But overall this was like a bonus special episode. It's pretty random and ridiculous. Yes, some important things happen, but it's wrapped up in this weird little horror movie in the woods thing. I did find it interesting that all five of Drew's ladies are at the cabin.

New Beginnings

Underneath It All (1-2)

New year, new look, new...Fiona! She's excited for a fresh start, since most students who knew her are gone. Imogen tries to sit with her during Science, but she chooses to sit with Marisol instead. Fiona throws a party for Degrassi's coolest, and Imogen overhears, so she invites her and then tries to give her a makeover. While she looks amazing, she's still the same, strange girl underneath. But she's also the one who sticks up for Fiona, when Owen dares her to chug a flask of Tequila. Fiona wiggles out of it by distracting them with a promise for a Senior prank! Simpson isn't happy about it, and had caught Imogen alone in the school, so they let her take the blame. Then Marisol and Katie turn on Fiona.

Clare still isn't talking to Alli after she kissed Jake in the woods. But she got back together with him, because  SHE kissed him, sooo...Clare and Jake have the sex talk. He's ready to go right now! She wants to take a magazine quiz to make sure they're emotionally ready. Very practical. They can't even make it through a few questions, so how are they suppose to be make it though some pelvic thrusting?

The unofficial start of Zaya! They're so young and cute. Tristan and Tori hate Zig and try to warn Maya away from him, but she wants to form her own opinion. But Tori will not let that stand and the first fight of the year breaks out! Simpson is appalled that these girls are fighting over a boy, so he makes them sit and talk it out. Tori just wants closure and convinces Maya to talk to him for her. Backfire.

Can't Tell Me Nothing (1-2)

Katie desperate to make it on a national soccer team. She has no other plans for her future except for a soccer scholarship. Then she gets injured, but that won't keep her off the field. A drug addiction might though, once she starts popping pain pills to keep her playing. The main thing that we know about Katie is that she is an overachiever. Nothing will stop this girl from going after what she wants, except hearing something snap in her knee right before the final tryout so she can't even get off the ground. Surgery is in her future instead of soccer.

Jenna left her song book at KC's house and she's dreading having to talk to him to get it back. She sucks it up though, and he gives it to her along with a bunch of other stuff related to the baby. This brings up all kinds of emotions for her, and makes playing happy music feel wrong. So she channels these new emotions into new songs. KC is surprisingly accepting of the lyrics which are most obviously about him.

Tristan and Tori have a Westdrive Vlog! But she starts ditching Tristan to hang out with Zig, because boyfriends before best friends! But I'd rather hang out with Zig too. Tristan asks his brother (Owen!!!) how to break them up. Real nice. He tries and fails, and ultimately decides to go the opposite direction: get the three of them to hang out together! That doesn't go so well either, because their interests are just way too different. And there's no rule saying that you have to all hang out, which is something these three need to learn. Tristan does learn that he doesn't have to change to be accepted, so at least that's something.

Not Ready To Make Nice (1-2)

Clare is clearly not over Jake, who may have a new girlfriend. She assumes it's Alli, but of course it's boyfriend stealing Jenna. She throws herself in vampire fiction, which is always the answer to life's problems. She also calls her dad and asks to move in, and finds out that he's living with the woman he was cheating with. Instead she goes to Summer, who was at the bookstore and offered help if she needed it. Things seem great at first, even if she did convince Clare to get rid of her cellphone. Kinda sketchy. Turns out, they have a pot farm in their garage and soon they're packing up to move, leaving Clare alone. Again. Time to go home, Clare.

Connor tries out for football! His counselor said it would be good for him to help with his social skills. He makes the team, but he doesn't make it into their social group. Connor understands football, but he still doesn't quite get the guys. Especially Mo. So Connor tries to pull a prank. He makes up a fake girl online and lures Mo on a fake date where he was stood up. Not great team building, but Conner is trying. They do pull a funny on the opposing team though.

Fiona and Imogen are becoming better friends now, so Fiona asks her about Eli, and realizes that she has a crush on Imogen! But she thinks she's perfect for Eli, so she decides to get them together! Fiona is more excited than they are, which is likely to blow her cover.

Need You Now (1-2)

Eli and Imogen are dating and he invited her to spend the night, but his dad insists that he needs to keep to his schedule. He also doesn't think he should have a girlfriend right now. Eli disagrees, but he also worries about Imogen thinking he's going to go off the rails at any moment. Which he does, when she makes a portrait of him about mental illness. He apologizes by pawning his dad's guitar to buy her a new camera. But when she isn't home, he assumes she's cheating! Eli goes to his therapist, then talks things out with Imogen. They maturely decide to just be friends. Thank goodness.

KC and Jenna are invited to their baby's christening. KC wants to go but Jenna doesn't. He wants to be part of their life, which annoys the crap out of me, because he didn't want to be there when he was with Jenna! But the Powells don't like him just showing up all the time.

Tori doesn't make Power Squad, but she is the mascot! But not before Marisol does give her a chance, but she shows up late and blows it. Her punishment is to wear the panther costume. Then when Zig refuses to come to the game, she gets upset. But he makes it up by volunteering to be the mascot, so that she can actually cheer. Zig is a sweetie.

Smash Into You (1-2)

Dave wants to win Alli back and I am annoyed. I loved Alli's rant about trust and feeling safe and not being cut out for romance. But then Jacinta shows up and things get out of hand. This girl is obsessed and unhinged. She's like the girl version of unmedicated Eli, except she walks into traffic rather than crashing her car.

Katie is going in for surgery and Marisol goes to visit her, learning that she won't be able to make their model UN presentation. Now, she's paired with Mo. I must say that I don't like either of them, but they made a cute couple.

Adam gets a note from a secret admirer and assumes it's a prank. He thinks it's Tori at first because he catches her putting a note in his locker, but she lets him know it's her friend. And she sets up a double date. With Tristan. Adam is not gay! But as Clare points out, he passed as a guy. A gay guy, but still a guy.

Hollaback Girl (1-2)

Bianca is trying really hard to turn her life around. She just doesn't know what to do after high school. She mentions it to Drew and he volunteers Katie to help her with the college stuff. But Katie has ulterior motives, likes scoring more pain killers. Bianca figures it out, and she's worried about getting blamed if something bad happens. Rightfully so. Then she kisses Drew, or he kisses her, and things get more complicated. He wants to break up with Katie and get back with Bianca, but then Katie ODs, so Drew can't dump her while she's in the hospital...

Marisol is embarrassed to be seen with Mo. He's trying really hard to impress her so she'll make their relationship official. He promises her an epic date, but he can't afford it. Jake offers him a job with his dad to help him out. But it's all for nothing because Marisol is not into anything right now, and Mo is just stuck in his own insecurities.

Dave plans to visit Jacinta in the hospital since he feels responsible for the accident. Alli is worried about him, since he won't even talk to her. Then she and Jenna look her up online and find a "get well" page for her where her friends are saying that Dave pushed Jacinta into the street.

In the Cold, Cold Night (1-2)

With Katie at rehab, Marisol is acting president, so Fiona and Imogen use this chance for their revenge. Marisol refuses to listen to any of Fiona's school activity ideas, so she goes straight to Mr. Simpson who approves her idea of a carnival. As long as she pays for it. Too bad her mom won't let her touch her trust fund. She's not letting that stop her after seeing how excited Imogen is. But the situation might be too dire, since her mother has been arrested for possible tax fraud and their assets have been frozen. Yikes. Even that won't stop her, once she realizes what's actually important and what's expendable.

Katie's absence, also causes the school paper to go on break. But Clare is not having it! She attempts to recruit a new crew to help her put out the holiday edition. But why should they help her? This is Clare's chance to apologize for being self absorbed and pushing them all away. Hooray for holiday cheer! Despite all of the crazy, I still find myself cheering for Eclare. I can't help it! They're cute when they're not being dramatic and unhealthy!

Maya is annoyed about the musical choice in her band class. She's a protege and the song choice simply doesn't challenge her. She talks to Miss Oh about it, and she agrees to let Maya study theory rather than actually play. Meanwhile, she's looking for a real band to play with. After that doesn't happen, she asks to rejoin the band but with an instrument she doesn't know how to play.

A finale that doesn't end with a dance and tragedy.
