Release Date: October 28, 2011
Genre(s): Animation, Fantasy, Adventure
Production Co.: DreamWorks Animation

Who would I recommend this to?
Fans of Shrek who need more Puss.

What is this about?
A bandit cat searches for the fabled Golden Goose.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Anytime really, but probably sometime after seeing the Shrek movies.

Where does it take place?
Spain, which has me questioning everything I thought I knew about the world of Shrek?!?!

Why did I decide to watch this?
Originally, because I loved Shrek and Puss. Now, because I just finished watching all of the Shrek's again and actually forgot this movie existed.

How did I like this?
Baby Puss is the cutest thing ever. Forget Baby Dory. BABY PUSS!

It's basically Shrek without the toilet humor and more sexual jokes. There's some definitely LOL moments, but overall, it didn't hold my attention that well. Probably why I forgot about it.

Have you seen Puss in Boots? What did you think?
If not, would you watch it?

Fans of the previous three movies.

What is this about?
Feeling stifled by family life, Shrek makes a deal with a disgruntled little man out for revenge!

When would be a good time to watch this?

After the other three.

Where does it take place?
The Kingdom of Far Far Away.

Why did I decide to watch this?
Originally, in theaters, because it's Shrek! Now, because I missed Shrek.

How did I like this?
I really like it! It's my least favorite of the four, but it's by no means bad at all. It takes elements from the previous three movies to make something unique. And the ending makes me cry like a baby.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I originally saw it in theaters because duh. Now I just had the urge to rewatch it.

Who would I recommend this to?

Quirky animation fans.

What is this about?
A group of teens that travel through space rescuing aliens from wacky situations.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Whenever you need something to pick up your mood.

Where does it take place?
Outer space.

Why did I decide to watch this?
It looked fun.

How did I like this?
These are very easy to watch, bite-sized adventures. They're all less than 5 minutes, yet contain a full story. Not the deepest, most developed stories, but they're fun. It's not exactly my humor type, but they were so short, I wound up watching the whole season in one go.

There's no overarching plot, so I'm not invested. I likely won't watch the other seasons.

I do love the art style and colors and alien designs.

Who would I recommend this to?
Fans of dark, adult animation who aren't offended by Hell, child dismemberment, and other macabre topics.

What is this about?
Demon hitmen who take out human targets of revenge.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Those days you just need some really dark humor.

Where does it take place?
Hell and random places around Earth.

Why did I decide to watch this?
I was in a quirky animation mood.

How did I like this?
I love this premise, which is why I watched it. But I am not a fan of gratuitous over-use of F-bombs; it's not edgy. It's just annoying. I was not a fan of the pilot episode, but then...

I was pleasantly surprised by the random musical numbers! And it's genuinely funny. I did LOL for real a couple times. And it's not all F-bombs and sex jokes; these characters have heart!

The animation and character designs are great!. And it's violent without being too gory. And I am 100% here for Blitzo and Stolas. Their relationship definitely has problems, but I adore them and need them to work it out! Communicate, boys!

Genre(s): Animation, Fantasy, Series
Production Co.: Frederator Studios
Creator: Natasha Allegri

Who would I recommend this to?
Uhh...you'll know if this is for you or not.

What is this about?
A broke young woman doing random side jobs in an alternate reality with her strange pet.

When would be a good time to watch this?
Whenever you have an hour for something to totally change your state.

Where does it take place?
Some island and some alternate world.

Why did I decide to watch this?
It was mentioned in a Youtube video I watched and looked cute.

How did I like this?
This is not what I was expecting at all. It is completely unlike anything I have ever seen. The art style is exactly what I want to look at all the time. PuppyCat is the ultimate character. I liked how these short episodes covered some deep issues with care and humor.

The humor is not my thing at all, but that's a me problem that I'm well aware of. But I do think there needs to be more of this show. The finale was excellent and more to my liking and I need more of these characters!

RuPaul's Drag Race UK - Season 1 (2019)

Title: RuPaul's Drag Race UK - Season 1
Rating: TV-14
Run Time: 1 hr
Release Date: October 3, 2019
Genre(s): Reality, Series, LGBTQ+
Production Co.: World of Wonder Productions
Starring: RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, Alan Carr

Who would I recommend this to?
Drag Race fans.

What is this about?
UK Drag Queens compete to be the best!

When would be a good time to watch this?
Immediately.

Where does it take place?
The UK main stage and workroom.

Why did I decide to watch this?
Because I'd never seen it and needed to fill the hole left behind by season 14.

How did I like this?
I adored it! It's so different from the US show, but still familiar. I loved seeing how drag culture is different across the pond. It was also refreshing for the focus to be on the actual competition, not on the drama between the queens. Not to say that there weren't any fights, but nothing compared to the US queens. At all.

I was very happily entertained for these eight hours.
